Listen kid ! If All these candidates that you stated, join IB,then i can only pray for them and their prudence. before I was in police department (prison department specifically), and i spent 2 years dealing with every kind of department including intelligence, ie IB, FIA,Special branch, CID, ISI (civilians and military both), MI etc. Except the Uniformed ISI guys and MI, believe me, the rest of them would not even given access to whatever source they needed.
I have many friends in IB, from Director to lowest level of ASI's. I am telling based on my experience with them. They were not happy, not a single one of them. They duty routine is very strict, They have no arrest powers neither they can claim any security or protocol. This is what i wanted to tell you guys.
More importantly i was accosted to the selected candidates who were already in a govt service in 17 scale, NOT YOU. SO peace, YOU ARE NOT MATURE ENOUGH TO TALK TO OFFICERS.
i know bindas personally. he is very competent guy. And this is also true that he was not going to join it even if selected. :bow He was also selected as AD MOD but he did not join and preferred tehsildar.
Dear, Thanks for telling kids, they are too emotional to get something. You left Inspector ANF, D.AD ASF(along with me), and two other Uniformed jobs and preferred to be jobless, because it didn't attract you in your own sense, I salute you to be very clear about yourself.
Your very close relative is PSP who had also served in IB, so who else would know more about IB than you.
You exactly know i wanted to help those candidates who have choice btw IB and someother job of same scale, but some fledglings are too young to understand and got it wrong, TO WHOM I DIDN"T ADDRESS.

Khan! Let him go. He will ultimately value your input. On a lighter note, none of the employed lot from our interview day is selected.

Btw, how is your training nowadays :roll.

Indubitable that MoD and FGO are prestigious organizations, being there is dream until one is there. But some people left AD MoD/ AD FGO when allocated in PMS-12&14. Being PMS there is more horizontal and vertical mobility as compared to MoD and FGO,however one's personal preference also does matter and some PMS-12 officers even recommend foreign funded PhD and University lectureship as better options with a rationale that being PMS 37K starting salary, all the day long files even at home while being lecturer(BS-18) rapid promotion, foreign visits, research grants, remuneration for evening classes etc. etc. while being in services, they do benefit with due favour to friends and family but their own life is full of hardships.
There are always better options.
@Sir Imibindas, Tehsildar can provide more vertical and horizontal mobility as compared to many other jobs. But it can only be conceived by a person who has experienced it,experience is one of the best teacher, experience a job and once fed up just abandon, if we find a better opportunity, sir! people will realize it after experiencing what you have experienced. Enthusiasm and charm remains for the transitory period (Nai Dulhan k 9 din) and later on people realize that it was not a destiny (in fallibistic approach). I was also looking for AD FGO, for the up-gradation of a scale and ultimately pay, but it was not final goal and it was telephonically discussed with one of the selected (AD FGO) members of discussion and he was also aspiring for CE-17.

Seriously dude, I am a witness to the interview of Imbindas. He was least interested in the interview and so was I, like so many others on that day. But again it's futile to argue with someone who is arrogant. I for one prayed that I am not selected. :vic.

Absolutely right Sir, I jumped into this conversation on a positive note, and i was especially addressed to the selected candidates who had the choice.

I do remember, when i was selected in ASF, the seniors on this forum tried to tell us the reality, we were to headstrong to listen to anybody, and the end result was our resignation, we, six friends in total, resigned at same day from ASF. The point is, that, as you say, Experience is best teacher, but those who had a bad experience, they can't let the other to go through the same agonies.
Regards.

Brother, they'll remember you once they spend time there(FGO) and to avoid the attack of fallacy of ad hominem by members, I have also given the rationale behind my aspiration for AD,FGO. I can understand that you wanted to save members of the forum from a bad experience, as it is the maintenance of spirit of this forum.
