Joining fgo

AOA.

Can somebody authentically tell me that when would i be probably receiving an offer letter to join FGO vis-à-vis my recommendation by fpsc for the post of ad?

and would there be any window of considerable time between joining and getting posted or undergoing training?

i am government servant and ce 2017 aspirant. proper guidance in this regard would help me carve out a viable strategy.

Regards.

The Ministry/Division had to call the recommended candidates within 4 weeks. After preliminary security clearance you can reasonably expect a call letter immediately after Eid.There will be joining instructions and medical test performa.

After submission of medical fitness. You will be subject to detailed security clearance and after that will be called to join initial training for newly inducted officials which will start simultaneously for all selected along with those adjusted from waiting list after some in initial merit list may refuse to join.

After completion of initial training they will be posted to different stations.

what do you reckon would be the length of the time span between joining and actually getting posted(or start of training)?

IF you are already serving in BPS-17 in govt service, then think again before joining IB? A friendly advice!

IB is just reporting agency, That's it. furthermore life stops in Ib, 24/7 duty, , you are married to the organization.forget holidays, no weekends , no perks no privileges, the only privilege is extra 20% salary of basic bps-17 pay, which you will regret after joining :P

Some candidates are depicting very bleak picture of IB. All of the recommended candidates are advised of not paying any heed to this and join this prestigious organization.

@imbindas is not like that he is already employed as tehsildar and is stating the truth.

Intelligence Bureau is not something what its name suggest. An officer is just a glorified government journalists. Who is paid less than normal journalist. 20% extra pay translate into extra Rs. 4000 per month.

There is no car, no privilege of private hospital or any other monetary benefit.

Sure, it is better than being unemployed or even some other 17 grade jobs but nothing more than that.
