D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation
D-8, also known as Developing-8, is an organization for development cooperation among the member countries.

Member states:
Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.

Secretary General: - Dr. Widi Agoes Pratikto

Establishment of D-8:
The establishment of D-8 was announced officially through the Istanbul Declaration of Summit of Heads of State/Government on June 15, 1997.

Objectives of D-8:
The objectives of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation are to improve member states’ position in the global economy, diversify and create new opportunities in trade relations, enhance participation in decision-making at international level, and improve standards of living.

D-8 is a global arrangement rather than a regional one, as the composition of its members reflects. Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) is a forum with no adverse impact on bilateral and multi-lateral commitments of the member countries, emanating from their membership to other international or regional organizations.

Recent summit:

The Developing Eight Organization (D-8) successfully held its 8th Summit from 19-22 November 2012 in Islamabad.
Four other events also took place on the sidelines of the Summit; the second meeting of the D-8 Central Bank Governors, the 6th meeting of the D-8 Business Forum with the participation of national chambers of commerce and industry and private sector entrepreneurs, the first meeting of Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs), and a trade exhibition with the participation of private companies from the member countries.

Pakistan assumed the chairmanship of Developing-8 countries as the outgoing Nigeria completed its two-year term.

Yes, you can bring cell phone with you but invigilators will take it from you before examination or either will tell you to submit it to a person sitting outside the exam hall.
Best of luck for all candidates!
