Note: (i) English subjective test of 100 marks will be conducted for preselected candidates at the ratio of 1:8 (eight candidates per post) with qualifying standard of 50% marks. (ii) Finally qualified preselected candidates will be called for Psychological Assessment.

The Above does not mention:

i. MCQs test.

It mentions:

i. English Subjective test will be conducted at the ratio of 1:8 for preselected candidates.
ii. Next step Psychological Assessment.
iii. The note itself represents the change.
Iv. Had it been no change - there wouldn't have been no note.

Does it say - Preselected candidates will appear in MCQs first then English then Psch. Assessment?

Assumptions and Confusions just because FPSC USED TO conduct screening on MCQs before.

Now, they changed it.

Someone do a favor to us all. Try calling FPSC and ask someone who knows.

what does the word pre selected means? please use your brain. i think you are not getting what fpsc has tried to communicate.

note is for the reason that previous year, a number lot of candiadates got failed in english subjective test because they were not mentally prepared for it. now, it has been cleared in advance so to avoid any confusion in the minds of candidates.

also, you have wrongly miscontrued the new ppsc policy for preselection. That policy clearly states two things. 1) pre selection will be done only for b.a candidates. 2. All the candidates who have masters or above qualification will be called and there is no scrutiny for them.. please read carefully that article.

Are you sure last time the English Subjective test took place after the MCQs?

Attention All:

I just spoke to FPSC Facilitation Center Islamabad on Phone and made him understand twice the confusion - after a hold and a consultation - he told that:

1. First MCQs
2. Later the Subjective Test.

I asked him if he is really sure - he confirmed apparently.

So, I apologize for creating confusion so far. And thanks to those who tried to correct it.

Now, please share the syllabus.

So now that the confusion is clear, please seniors kindly suggest books for mcq's. I m preparing from carvan g.k mcq book, also have jhngir g.k encylopedia. What else seniors and fellow members you will suggest.
