As far as UDC/LDC posts are concerned brother, I have no experience with these posts since I have never served in any government office. I don't even know exactly what the abbreviations UDC/LDC stand for - only that it is the clerical staff of any organization.

Still, since you asked for my opinion. MOD has more influence and this cadre of officers has more power than those where you are currently serving. Because all social, economic and other prospects depend on your interaction with these officers, you would be much better off by associating yourself with more powerful colleagues.

I would say shift, unless you have some economic benefits at your current job which may not be available in MOD due to lack of public dealing.
