Ministry of Defense have announced 30 New Jobs Of Assistant Director.

can an engineer apply to Assistant director?

Yes they have asked for 16 years education

actually they have not generalize in the advertizement
it is mentioned only Msc and M.A

Yes they haven't mentioned any specific degree just MA Msc Or equivalent means 16 years of education

Not Sure may be In February or March

The MOD process

The total selection process takes 12 to 14 months (Including the test and registration)

Step 1: Registration

Step 2: Screening test
(Mcqs, current affairs and essay all these test in one day )

Step 3: Result declaration by NTS, Passed candidates will appear for psychometric test

step 4: Psychometric test (Also known as psychological tests like those in ISSB)

step 5: Passed candidates will be interviewed at designated stations (My sister interview was at hamza camp Rwp)

step 6: After interview security clearance begins, Firstly SVA forms (5 in number) are sent to candidates, those are to be filled and send within 15 days to MOD

The security clearance begins with personnel from agencies will visit your home, call you, interview your close firends, relatives

step 7: Last but not the least, those who qualify the standards of MOD, Final medical letter are issued to them

Step 8: After medical joining orders are issued and training of 6 months at undisclosed location begins

These steps are not fabricated nor presented on my own. My sister went through each and every step. I hope it helps .

Any idea about test date? And what would be the test pattern? I will appear without any good preparation, so how many attempts do they give a candodate to avail on this dept like. Is this like CSS ro avail three attempts?

Last time the exam was divided in three papers 100 MCQs 5 Question of Current Affairs and Essay paper. No restrictions on attempting this exam.

Yes as mentioned on application form, [B]Attach your Two recent Passport Size Photographs (not older than 6 months), Attested copies of CNIC & Domicile, Relevant certificate to substantiate age relaxation claim, Higher Degree / Result Card attained and Original Bank Deposit Slip (NTS Copy)

last time paper was divided in three portion two descriptive and one MCqs

Everything I studied during my life, including CSS, helped me to sail through these tests. In MoD, it is more about your skills and presentation than the knowledge. I appeared twice for the said post and each time, the examination pattern was different. point by point you can categorize as:

1. MCQ paper: last time this paper was comprised of GK, Pak affairs, IT, Current Affairs, Mass communication, IR, Math, Islamiat and Reasoning type questions. for this you can consult Carvan GK mcqz by Ch. Ahmed Najeeb.

2. Current affairs paper: there were 5 questions and believe me almost all the candidates had knowledge about 2 questions only but we attempted all 5, in a way like we knew everything about it. Its like psychological assessment. In your writings, you should show your passion and positivity. for descriptive info, you can buy the latest upcoming AD MoD guide by Rai mansoor of Ilmi publishers.

3. English Essay: it should also be attempted like current affairs strategy... and it involves simple Essay writing techniques and skills.

Besides, read dawn on daily basis and try to develop your own analytical opinion. you can visit these threads on CSSforum for better understanding.

For Maths and Reasoning, I never practised reasoning questions, for math I once prepared from GMAT and GRE. The concepts always served me good.
