Yeah may be you are right because i just noticed the last sentence he never thought..that means he expected that he would not be successful but his expectation nullified because his firm prospered.

The correct answer is 120, not 256 or 240 as some one said they are.

if there are four teams...then the answer is 3+2+1=6
in this case the correct answer will be 15+14+13+12+11+........4+3+2+1=120.
