Suspicious Recruitment Procedure of MoD!

Hello friends

I have a little scenario here to discuss regarding the recruitment procedure of MoD. As we all know, an advertisement appears in the news papers stating that applications are required for recruitment in Ministry of Defence and a test based on written, psychological and an interview will be conducted to select the candidates. The advertisement only mentions the Ministry of Defence and not any particular department, the rumours are that these jobs are for iSi which appear under the cover of MoD. The exams are conducted in a very loose fashion, only two papers for written test, then the result of written test is announced after little more than a year and the whole process takes two years or little more.
My point is that if these jobs are meant for iSi then how come the recruitment procedure is so casual, I mean for induction in Armed forces and Civil service the ISSB and CSS are conducted in high esteem and have relatively higher standard of selection procedure i.e. twelve written papers of honors level, compared to only two for MoD, also what's the point behind announcing the result of written test comprised of only two papers, after a whole long year.
What I am wondering about is that is it possible that all that MoD stuff is only fake and is meant to fool the audience and real recruitment happens behind the curtains, after all an iSi is supposed to have very high standards and its recruitment and selection procedure should also be out of the world!.
Can anyone genuinely explain the time period it takes i.e. two years?

Ahmed dear,

To concisely answer you r question,

1. The lengthy time period and ambiguity attached with the MoD exams is precisely so, to maintain secrecy of the highest order so that influence can be evaded by the organization.

2. I can assure you that MoD exercises the highest paradigms of meritocracy however a very minuscule percentage of seats can or may have to be adjusted to influential candidates. I have very high doubts about that as well, reason being the highly sensitive nature of the said org and job.

3. MoD recruits civilians as well, not all posts are filled in my armed forces personnel. There are specific and logical reasons for this which should not be discussed openly in a public forum.

4. MoD employs the best of the best for their civilian seats. And it may be said that the exams for the same are the toughest after CSS and PCS. Last time around 35000 candidates applied and only around 380 were selected to the 2nd phase of testing; that's less that 2%!

5. If you're interested, work hard for it, this ain't no measly 100 mcq easy peasy departmental exam.

Bro, I know iSi is no joke, and for that particular reason I am making this point that induction of personnel under Mod based on the test of mere essay writing skills and current affairs and a childish intelligence/psychological test and an interview which reportedly doesn't last more than ten fifteen minutes, can't be what an internationally renowned spy agency would base its induction criteria on. Thing is that all this MoD stuff appears to be only a cover, to fool God knows whom, because people from other secret services would know that such things are done much differently rather in such obvious fashion. However my point is that I suspect that the recruitment and induction is actually done secretly based on the criteria of their own and not by taking written tests and interview. Also feel free to discuss whatever the knowledge you may have because we are under no oath to keep things secret, let the issue of secrecy be dealt with by who are actually responsible for this and I hope they will be doing a good job.

Dear,

The essay writing, current affairs is designed to test much more than you have outlined. Along with writing and knowledge skills, it will also test your analytical skills to say the least! If it were indeed merely a test of one's 'essay writing skills' then the passing number of candidates would have been much more that 1%.

Similarly, what you call a 'childish ntelligence/psychological test and an interview' is actually a total psycho analysis/assessment. The candidates attitude, aptitude and personality is being judged by very highly qualified experts. They even judge aspects about you from your hand writting, so before you dispell it as childish, do some research about how these assessments work and weed out unwanted candidates.

As fara as maintaining secrecy is concerned, true, it is the prime responsibility of those who are in the org, but responsibility demands it as well, regardless of the fact if you are serving or not.

Do you know how other intel agencies around the world recruit? google and you'll find out that its quite complient to MoD's procedure.

Anyways, take the tests, its a good experience, EVEn if you don't make it. this is from personal advice bro. Take care.

Yes, may be I am wrong and it all is what it actually appears to be. I am only making a hypothesis not passing any final verdict, as all I have is few suspicions and not any confirmed information. Just to make an argument if we review the procedure MoD adopts i.e. first the job ad is under the name of MoD and iSi is mentioned no where, now, how would one aspiring to join iSi will come to know that this is for intelligence purposes and not some administrative work in defence ministry, as compared to the advertisement for the IB where it clearly states that the recruitment is for intelligence functions. Does MoD want to let know its aspirants that they are hiring for iSi or do they want to hide this fact. They don't mention it while rumours are all around that iSi is recruiting, which obviously come from the same source which makes the advertisement otherwise if they wanted to keep things secret no one would ever come to know. Also the time duration it takes is only to confuse its applicants and none else because your training in real time as I suspect starts from the very day you actually submit your application forms and the suspense goes on for a couple of years and you gradually come to know that how deep the rabbit hole actually is, coz this sounds more like real secret organization otherwise merely clerical cover and typewriter stuff might actually not be the objective of an organization meant to counter the Zionists and the CiA's and the MOsads. Only few of the respective people will know the fact, we are only making assumptions for the educational purposes and little chit chat about the secret world hidden from our eyes.

Regards.

if it is done secretly then why will they give ads in papers and conduct exams for induction in MOD?

Why don't they conduct the exams in army selection and recruitment centres, where we actually obtain the application forms from. If it is meant for Inter Services Intelligence than the Inter Services Selection Board should be the body conducting the recruitment, isn't?

@ Ahmed

Bro,

It seems that you donot know a lot of things about this exam and org, despite this fact you appear to be strong opinioned about the org and the exam. Go through the forum and you shall learn quite a lot. If still some questions perturb your mind, then ask question. Its a sicere brotherly advice. Take care.

Well here are few questions if anyone could Genuinely answer;
What is the logic behind taking two years to complete a process what should not last more than six months.

Why don't they notify the failing candidates about their failed test status which is one's obvious right especially after paying money to participate in the examination.

It was observed in 2008 exams that the invigilator himself provided answers of MCQ's to the candidates in the examination hall without actually being asked for that and that too to everyone not one or two!

The head of the examination team, who came in a black twin cabin with tinted black glasses and parked his vehicle where it was visible to everyone to give a certain impression, was asked about the duration the recruitment procedure would take, replied in full confidence that they are going to complete the whole process in five six months but even the result of written portion came a little more than a year. Why did he lie?

No one has ever claimed on this forum that he has received a final selection notification, what happens to the one's who appear in interview?
