Hi seniors, jese k apko pata hai k PMS-2015 ki datesheet aa chuki hai or 27 dec se exam start hu raha hai......so plz hamay ye clear kar dein k.....hamara center konsa hai, iska hamay kese pata chalay ga? lahore me hai tu kis jaga?..........second ye k hamay exam k liye kon kon se documents sath le k janay hun gay?............3rd ye k roll number wagera print hu g? kese? kahan se? kab tak?..........4th ye k ppsc site pe jo Admission Letter ka option hai, us se admission letter abhi print tu nai karna exam k start me..........ye questions ap k liye malooli hun gay jo log pehly se janty hein but hamary liye boht important hein or hamay inka pata nahi hai............so plz complete ans dein jaldi........thanks

Test Centers will be mentioned in your admission slips, which will be uploaded on PPSC's website in a few days and candidates can download it from there easily.

Exams k liye center wohi ho ga jo candidates ny opt kia tha at the time of applying online.

Only two documents are required for entry in the examination hall: your admission letter and your CNIC.

Write in bombastic style as guided by a senior, one of the toppers of 2009, I followed him.

Critical and analytical skills, every question of every subject even every paragraph needs it. I defended drinking of Ghalib with strong rationalistic arguments and it paid me 77, I was not expecting at all. I'm not expecting this year as well.


For Punjabi
Jahangir's by Qamar Hasnain A and B, Punjab Rang.


Quote Poetry as much as possible in URDU and PUNJABI both use proper words of URDU rather mixing English as we mix many words in routine communication.


For Urdu used Ilmi Urdu General by Prof.Mahar M Hayat, attempted essay on GHALIB which is NOT given in book. (For Idioms/Grammar)
Focus on mathematical Qs like idioms/proverbs etc.
Practice, not too much but a bit to translate from Urdu to English.

For Public Ad utilized JWT book, some topics from Sultan.
Jhanagir.
Few pages from Sultan.
Major Media Websites CNN/RT/Dawn/ARY etc.

Roughly, LG system, Ministerial System, Islamic State System and Structure bureaucracy/technocracy etc. (I only purchase the books that I speculate would be studied).
I actually did not made any specific study plan separately, rather consulted from past papers and marked the Qs yearly on my book. I give you an illustration:

Public Ad by Jahangir Cram Series Edition (Asif J Mir, I Shafia, Ali Salman)
Public Ad Page 1-28 (PMS Paper-I)

Morphology(Definition in 2009 PMS)

Most Important topics of this chapter are:

NPM (PMS2009),
Welfare State
Islamic Welfare State (also prepared from Sultan)

At page 27, Review Qs, 2nd, 3rd and 4th are the most important ones.

Bureaucracy Page 57
Planning Page 143
Organization Page 173

Other Chapters are for paper-II and some chapters may be left due to less importance for the examination point of view i.e. Major Schools of thought, Communication and Globalization.

However, you need to have your own observation on the media base analysis and develop critical skills since they do not ask all the questions from specific course rather some from outside like last year they asked about PEMRA in paper-II. It's gossip sort of subject where strong argumentation is indispensable.

i have a question.......essay me marker use karna hai ya nahi? karna hai tu kis kis jaga pe? agar aik waraq k 2 pages hun tu essay litny waraq ka hona chahiye taqriban? or essay ki sub headings k ilava outline ki main headings kitni honi chahiye? seniors plzzzzzzzzzzzz

Marker needs to be used for writing Essay Topic. Besides that, when one has to write some quotation or such fact as one intend highlight may be written with marker.

As well as length of essay is concerned, one need to wrote almost 14 pages. As in PMS one has to write essay in 2 hours, 12 to 14 pages are sufficient. I passed esaay both in pms 2012 and 2014 and both times length was this .

If you divide essay in three broader headings in outline, every heading should have 5 to 7 subheadings.

Agar ap k pas apna koi rough work kia hua hai tu kia ap wo ham se share kar sakty hein? pic bana ka share kar dein plz........outline me chahay 10 headings he hu jayei, just sketch dekhna hai......or specially essay body dekhni hai k us me para formatting kese karni hai or marker kahan use karna hai..........so plz share kar dein, 1, 2 pages he enough hein...thanks

thank u so much sir, mujhe ab kuch idea hu gia hai......mujhe ye clear nahi tha k essay body me headings marker se likhni hoti hein ya nahi, so ap ne nahi likhi hui, same like the book "essays by manzoor mirza"..........secondly mene ye note kia k outline kese draw karni hai...so uska b idea hu gaya........thankssssssssssss

Roll Slips would be displayed at the end of this week or from the approaching Monday and there is no chance of exam getting delayed. Just do not buy the rumours at all. As well as centres are concerned, usually BISE Examination Centre Lawrance Road, Punjab University Examination Centre are made. Few schools also are made as centres.

Can anybody please elucidate the career structure, promotions and etc in The PUnjab PMS. Secondly, it is a common held belief that promotions are slow in here but what do we mean by slow? Does it imply PMS officers don't get a chance to reach BS-22? Comments from an informed source are sought. Thanks

I am astonished to see the confusion of the PMS aspirants over the announcement of the said post. I think none bothered to read the eligibility clause of the advertisement. let me paste it for all the confused aspirants.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION: By selection on merit from amongst the Civil Service holding respective post on regular basis in BS-05 to BS-16 with Master's degree or Bachelor's degree (4 years) or LL.B from a recognized University, serving under the Government of the Punjab and having the following experience:-

a. For officials in (BS-11 to BS-16) = 05 years
b. For officials in (BS-05 to BS-10) = 08 years"[/B]

Now... yes you can apply if you are eligible for the said post.
