Yes it has been announced & to my knowledge the exam will be held in early 2016 immediately by the end of feb 2016 css papers. All those thinking they are ineligible to apply owing to 28 years of age, must see the ad clearly because the cut off date for age calculation is jan 2015 which may brighten up their prospects to appear if they have just turned 28 years....
Moreover, due to heavy competition i request all aspirants to prepare for both examinations keeping similar subjects to avoid dual preparation and test where you land. Because at the end of the day its LUCK which overrules CEs....

Do contact me for any guidance or assistance / help. Best of luck
Regards

Are you sure that CSS and PMS exams will not over lap and one should apply for both? I mean the datesheet

Should one leave the job for PMS preparation?

The ad clearly states that examination will be held "During the year 2015" so expect it in Coming December. Moreover, Optionals of PMS have vastly different scoring trends than those of CSS, I know it sounds odd but one has to approach PMS and CSS differently to succeed.

As our senior member has speculated, exam is more likely to be held in March. PPSC makes sure that its competition exam does not coincide with CSS. So do not worry about it and concentrate on your preparation. May ALMIGHLTY ALLAH reward us for our hard work.

Sir as you are in concerned department can u give us confirm news when exams will be taken??
Pms ad says pms-2015 so can we expect exams in 2015?

Myrene Sunday, November 15, 2015 01:59 PM

Depends on the kind of job you are doing.
But do keep one thing in mind such exams are mostly luck based, so if you have got this privilege to get job in future too, only than you can quit your current job to prepare for the exams.

Is there any chance to get age relaxation through writ petition..maha khan or some one can respond??
Is there any chance to get age relaxation through writ petition..maha khan or some one can respond??
No chance of getting age relaxtion by filing a writ petition. Last year writ petition for age relaxation was rejected by High Court. Now as PMS is regularised so there are no chances of getting age relaxation.
In my opinion it is waste of time to file a writ.

After assurance from S&GAD that PMS would be regularised from now onward HC rejected the petition.
overaged candidates were allowed to appear in the exam provisionaly.
But if there was a chance of granting age relaxation, PMS would had been re-advertised. Now as precedent has been set, there are no chances of getting age relaxation
How can I apply for PMS?
Dear, as it is mentioned in the advertisement only online applications are accepted. You will have to apply through ppsc official website www.ppsc.gop.pk
Just wait till they update their website and add PMS to the list of posts for applying.

sultan ahmad Monday, November 16, 2015 09:39 AM

I think it is unjust to grant age relaxation after 4 years of govt. service as compared to CSS where age relaxation can be availed after 2 years of govt service.

Can wise choice be a perfect one?
Dear, i called Kalim Yousuf(Merit# 5 PMS-2014) and he recommended these subjects. One of my class-fellow appeared in PMS-2014 without prior preparation and managed to score 128 in Pol Science.

Now let me define "Wise Choice". People usually go for subjects which are easy to cover and are considered to be scoring; generally that subject is targeted which is most opted - like in case of Punjabi in 2014. In my opinion, wise-choice would be to opt a subject which is not opted by many aspirants and is also of a general nature, not a specific one. I guess Pol Science is a general subject?

I asked him personally and he said by the end of feb. Not sure if he is following this thread. Hopefully situation would clear-out soon as it cannot coincide with CSS EXAMS.

Kalam himself opted Mass communication instead of Political Science. Why would he recommended political science?

Mass communication was opted by most candidates in 2014 but it still proved to be scoring, should we still believe in theory that most opted subjects yields low scoring?

I think in PMS, scoring trends vary from year to year because every year paper checker is different unlike CSS in which subject specialist for checking and setting question papers is hired for 3 years. No?

Your are absolutely right.

But would you read the post of that member again? He said suggest me scoring and those subject which are "SUITABLE" for me. I suggested him four subjects. Probably, Pol Science was "SUITABLE" and is of general in nature.

Nothing can be certain in competitive exam.

Merit No 57 CSS 2014 could not get allocation in 2014-PMS.
Merit No 5 PMS-2014 could not pass CSS 2015.
And i heard three among top ten CSS-2014 could not qualify in 2015.

Our predictions are not always true. My prediction could be wrong but who can be certain here?

Will exam be conducted in Dec-2015? How could they conduct exam in such a short time of one month?

najambaloch Monday, November 16, 2015 10:31 PM

Rather than worrying about what's scoring and what's not, I think it is best to choose subjects that are considered to be relatively safe. While they may not be high scoring, one can achieve his/her desired target with selective yet smart study. To me, political science appears to be a type of subject that may not be high scoring, but it won't surprise, either. After-all, you just need average scores in most of the subjects with a few of them yielding above-average scores to compensate for the loss.

A wise combination in PMS can earn you 420 out of 600 marks, which ensures your allocation. Single low scoring subject can wreck havoc with your total score, hence throwing you out of allocation race, no matter how elevated your mental skills are. I think you don't have past experience of PMS otherwise you wouldn't have posted this.
