Best of luck to fellow aspirants. We were expecting more seats but to our disappointment fewer officers got promoted. Anyhow, do not lose hope and give your best shot. I am appearing in this exam with full zeal.

Surprisingly news is that 6 seats for disabled and 3 for minorities, means only 16 seats for open merit, its gonna vry tough competetion

Best wishes from my side, i am also going with my full energies though its my first chance in pms. I am already done with my all notes and only thing to do is revise and improve the things i have done already. So i am hopeful

You know it's funny, I was attending a seminar for CSS subject selection last night where one of the co-owners was delivering his speech on the matter.

While discussing the merits of CSS and how it would help in various other exams such as PMS, he mentioned how it would be relatively easier to be allocated when 160 plus seats are meant for Punjab (PMS) only.
Then, basically drawing a comparison as to how it's easier to get one out of 160 plus than 25 from CSS when competing for an Assistant Commissioner's spot.

He even went on to state that they didn't regularly conduct PMS exams in Punjab (usually every two years or so) but now they intend to make this a yearly affair. Though, I don't know whether to take the guy seriously anymore. :p

This is you can say the worst case in most of academies operating nowdays, infact it has become a business now to run css/pms academies and their speakers are those persons who never qualified any competetive exam in their life and they become beacon light for aspirants. So one cant rely on those specially like the one you encountered. If he met you again then ask him whats his opinion now about 25 seats and thousands of candidates
