G.K has failed every strategy ! *Sigh*

An aspirant of CSS can take exams of PMS easily as compared to any other ordinary candidate.I didn't do any special preparation.In fact,I felt as if I were taking exams of masters. Papers were quite general so I could easily deal with them.

I would suggest the candidates that they should focus on G.K mainly.It feels really bad to lose 11 papers just because of one After that essay and Pak studies are real dangers.Optionals don't need much effort.Your preference should be smart study.

yeah you are right......!.the paprs were general except G.k.but what we should do now only wait and see??what will be the result and than do any thing else?

let me tel what is my strategyin these days. i have over viewed my all papers and marked al the mistake and than i over viewed those question which i did not attempt and made its points so it will hep out in further study.i want this kind of participation

"Wait and watch" is the most boring thing ! Prepare yourself for next PMS or CSS or any other competitive exam

That's good.It would help you in improving yourself.Well,in my case I don't like to repeat past questions,that's why,I'm looking forward to some other exam

Well its a nice suggestion! To me the greater problem was time allocation for different questions.i beliveve that since nowadays papers of both CSS and PMS are of very general nature, the best strategy is to attempt as many model papers as possible, just to give your self paper attemptig practice.it shall also expose your repeated mistakes. But You can assess yourself only when you observe strict real exam.restrictions i.e. Time restraint and avoid material help.

Moreover since waiting for result is a difficult time so try to be optimistic and start interview preparation.you will not be getting enough time for interview preparation after written result, in case of PMS!

yeah i agree with your point of view as belong to a time management.it will b improved by written practice.
secondly would you like to share what kind of intrerview it would be?what should be its prepration?

Well since PMS and CSS viva is totally english based so as a first step one must try to improve ones speaking.moreover there is the psychological assessment test which has different segments i.e. intelligence test,autobiography,story writing,personality assessment,group discussion,command task etc which is very important and needs particular practice.moreover your academic subjects as well as your optional subjects are relevant and must be prepared thoroughly.regular reading of at least two good news papres is fruitful.try to form your opinion on latest national and internation issues, to achieve this end one must prepare short notices on such topics and have a regular discussion with ones friends and other competitors.

my academic back ground isb.sc with zol,bot.and chemistry.than masters in english litrature.and my pcs subjects were sociology,education and geography.now what kind interview they can ask?have you idea that they will ask a question about master,s and pcs subjects.or take general view of all academic back ground?

There is not set pattern or rule for questions asked in pcs/pms interview or even css. They can ask you questions related to your educational background as well as current affairs both national and international. But as per previous pms exams the trend is that they ask mostly questions from General Knowledge just like a pms G.K. paper. So don’t expect much that they going to ask all opinion based questions on current issues and your educational background. Moreover the weightage of psychological test in interview in pms/pcs is far less than that of the css examination. They hardly consider psychological report in interview unlike CSS where they ask mostly questions from whatever you performed in your psychological assessment.

Lastly if you are good in G.K. then Pms interview isn’t a hard nut to crack and it’s a very good thing that you have started preparing for interview before the announcement of written result as they would hardly give a week or two after the written result and call for interviews/psychological test unlike Css.
