@ Sarfaraz Shamin Sb,
What you recommend for a person allocated both in PMS cadre & OMG? Is OMG better than PMS and vice versa. Please provide humble suggestion with your insight experience of OMG.

Yes he will join. I met him today in his office. He want to leave IRS to join FSP. He has no other news as I asked him last allocated merit # from Punjab then he replied dont know about it. He was saying that there are chances of last merit (males from Punjab) till Merit # 141.

everyone has its own preferences. To me there are only two best groups psp & dmg. I will prefer pms. Because you might retire in 19 or 20 but you get good field postings. To me designation matters not grade. A DCO is of 19 and headmaster is aslo of 19. Hope u understand. This is my personal opinion. By the way i am expectin FSP and i am thinking about PMS, rest...............

Brother please dont rely on my estimates, my entire calculation revolves around power not around carear or grades. So consult with seniors while taking decision. And let me clarify i will appear in PMS if DSP seats are announced this time in PMS. Furthermore i know lot of people who sacrificed gropus upto IRS for PMS. So be careful.

The reason is very obvious, you have to be in Top 30 to secure allocation in PAS from Punjab and you are posted as Assistant commisioner and you get the same designation in PMS with same perks and privileges, because perks are associated with a designation not to a cadre, if designation and scope is same then power and prestege would also be same.....PMS has an added advantage that you are posted within Punjab and has not to be posted in FATA or Baluchistan etc..... Sarfraz bhai i fully support your view that a rational choice must be to choose post with higher nuisance value, not on the basis of a cadre...so those allocated in PMS and are prospective allocatees in CSS below FSP would go for PMS so don't have high hopes that all those will relinquish their seats of PMS for CSS, they will mostly go with PMS, Mr Kaisar Abbas Rind, 4th position in last PMS( now AC Jhumra) was also allocated in OMG but he did not join OMG.

@Bilal Hassan & Sarfraz Shami
CSS Merit # 05, 38, 64, 89, 97, 99, 105, 107, 124 & 147 are also allocated in PMS. Chances of allocation of Merit # 147 are slim. I think first four (5,38,64,89) will surely go for CSS. Beyond IRS group, people will prefer to join PMS rather than OMG. Merit # 124 of CSS is selected as AD-LFA in PMS Exam. There are chances of him to prefer OMG on AD-LFA.
