It is clearly mentioned in the syllabus that 0.25 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer in GK paper.
Considering this scenario if one does not knows the answer or he/she has doubts what would be the best thing .
1.leave it unattempted
Or
2.mark it with doubts.
Or
The examiner would count unattempted mcq as incorrect answer and shall deduct marks in similar manner.
Kindly reply to this query.

Unattempted questions are not considered as incorrect. Generally people attempt doubtful questions because reward is 1 and punishment is 0.25

No....
For instance my 60 mcqs are correct out of 100 and 40 are wrong ...
Now 40*0.25=10
My total score becomes 60-10=50
Now if I leave those 40 mcqs unattempted my score shall be 60.
The technique of leaving those questions seems plausible in above scenario.

The concept of negative marking is that for each incorrect attempted question a mark is deducted. Those left as such do not cost any negative mark. The theme is to dissuade the students from guessing if he doesn't not know the answer and it's not just happenstance but the student really knows the answer.

You've demonstrated worst possible scenario but probability is generally on the higher end! That's why I said " generally people" because there is no best way to attempt this paper. Decide for yourself!

Sorry I couldn't get the gist. Kindly clarify it that if we do not know the answer and do not attempt it, whether it will be included in negative marking or not.

Let me explain. There's a question you don't know the answer to, let it go alone. You will not get any mark or say 0 marks. Perhaps you guess the answer and it's incorrect then you get -0.25.

I remember back in school our chemistry teacher had this queer way of marking our tests that upon any mistake your score will be reset to zero. But it has nothing to do with negative marking you may call it 'silly marking'.

so guys the best thing would be to attempt all questions regardless of fact that you know answers of them.
Only leave those parts in which you have 0% surety of correctness.
