The Chief Minister is the Chief Executive of the Province. The Federal Government appoints a Governor as head of the Provincial Government.

Substituted by Constitution (Eighteenth Amendment) Act, 2010, Section 42 (with effect from April 19, 2010) for :
Article 129 Exercise of executive authority of Province.
"The executive authority of the Province shall vest in the Governor and shall be exercised by him, either directly or though officers subordinate to him, in accordance with the Constitution."

Cheif Minister is the executive head of Province,its sure and confirmed.Every regulatory functions in Province are also performed Cheif Minister.PM Nawaz recently wrote letters to all cheif Minister regarding Minimise prcies of fairs after minimise petrol prices.
Cheif Minister performed executive functions not governor.
