Default Notification Issued to Recruit Direct DSP's in Punjab Police

A graduate under the age of 28 years with certain height and chest requirement will be eligible for the said post. It's too early too comment on the paper pattern because it would be first time in the history of Punjab, however one should expect PMS type exam.

If Punjab government is in hurry then Exams can be conducted in November/December otherwise Exams may prolong to a year. However there is a chance that Lobby of PSP never let that happen and recommendations to directly recruit DSPs are thrown into a dustbin.

Moreover one should not be over excited about the authority of such job. Only three posts are powerful in Punjab police and those are of SHO, DPO and PPO/IG rest are more or less pawns. So even if these jobs are advertised and one is selected as a DSP then he will never be Made DPO because police bureaucracy is owned by PSP and they will never let someone else capture the coveted post!

The first hurdle is "PSP". If Punjab govt crosses that, there is strong chance that recruitment process would start.

Age will not be more than 28 because the whole idea behind these job is to recruit fresh graduate so age requirement can be less than 28 but not more than 28

What about them, those waiting for Notification/Advertisement from a long time? Can age be stopped till Notification? if vacancies are announced on every year then no one goes for claim as everyone can easily get that chance but delay and then 28 age limit restrictions means Govt. is killing basic right of majority of youth.

There'll be lot of examples like this but the reality is, in this case what is the fault of those candidates between age limit 26 to 28? Clearly Govt. had snatched their right.
