Do not pay any heed to such claims. Scoring more than 70, in a paper that has minus marking and especially which is not a piece of cake, is quite tough.

Lets discus some facts:

Total number of candidates who applied for this post, were about 39,000. There are 24 seats for women and other quotas as well. As per my observation, attendance was arround 80 to 85 percent. That brings the total number of candidates to arround 30k. Now there will be arround 7 to 8 thousand females. Deduct number of females and those who are competing on disable quota and other quotas, figure comes to around 20,000 candidates. Total number of seats are 84 on open merit and 420 from these 20,000 will be called for interview. Keeping in view the nature of this exam I can safely say that 70 will be cut off merit. Merit cannot go beyond 70. However it could come down to 65, provided that most candidates under-performed.

As for as women quota is concerned, in my opinion it will be around 65. Those who scored less then 60, be them females or males, are sadly out of the race......

It is not only my personal opinion but I have discussed with experienced candidates as well.
