Maths part is not difficult at all, only requires a little practice daily,30 to 45 min practice is sufficient.Maths questions should be solved through formulas(5 to 10 important formulas are sufficient)or solve through common sense. For screening test give proper time to all subjects

Which are the best notes out of the three ; Ilmi notes ,Caravan and Dogar Publishers available in the market , as far as the screening test is concerned..
you can't rely on one of these notes, you have to study at least two of them. but i think you can prepare it as subjective , mcqs will be covered itself with subjective study. studying only mcqs may not serve the purpose because you can't cram thousands of mcqs.
Average : OR Arithmetic mean
Average can be found by adding the numbers given and then dividing this sum by the number of items being averaged.
Equation : Sum of entities / Number of entities

Example : the average of a set of five numbers is simply the sum of all the numbers divided by 5.
Find the average of 2,8,5,8,6 and 12.
solution : first of all we shall add the numbers. 2+8+5+8+6+12 = 42
As there are 6 numbers, so we divide 42 by 6.
42/6 = 7
Average/arithmetic mean = 7
is it enough at all?

All rounder Tuesday, July 16, 2013 12:03 AM

The books mentioned by vetdoctor are enough bcs it covers the basics of maths, when u get the basics right nothing is difficult for u,u can solve any kind of mcqs through basic knowledge,i m second to vetdocotr that dont do only mcqs,u should first learn basics of all parts of screening test which are given in syllabus, now limitation of getting basic knowledge is that time is short, the best strategy for screening test preparation is that first go through last ten years mcqs of all compulsory subjects, for every compulsory subject ,make a list of important chapters which covers most of mcqs.then study those important chapters in standard short or medium sized review books then do their mcqs chapter wise, this strategy is very effetive for all compulsory subjects except Islamiat(in Islamiat u need to do mcqs directly).Best books for screening test are for Maths n English NTS GAT book by muhammad idrees, for Grammer part Exploring the world of english(esp its grammer part)for vocabulary do high frequency list (333 word list)word list ,word list of NTS GAT book and also do thier exercises of antonyms and synonyms and last impotatnt word list is given in EXPLORING the world of English, for everyday science ,kashmiri or To the point Everyday science by dr Qurratulain,do all mcqs of Kashmiri and if have time also imtiaz shahid, for Islamiat ,Emorium islamiat mcqs book by Asif malik(it is the best book, but do selective chapters, like Seeratun Nabi saw,Quran,Hadees, ghazwat, khulfa rashideen)for pakistan affairs all past years MCQs,for current affair the best book is jahangir world time All issues in one(2012 edition upto 2014 budget),dont make current affairs boring by just doing mcqs, use multiple sources to make it interesting, like reading all issues of jahangir world time along with a world map, also read daily news papers ,for international news BBC news channel

Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").
