first of all, we should start from " Numbers " .
There are a variety of numbers in math, a few will be discussed here.

1. Integers : All positive and negative whole numbers including zero ( 0 ) are integers.
For Example : -22, -10, 0, 64, 199.
some integers are positive, some are negative but the integer zero is neither positive nor negative.
The difference between two consecutive integers is always 1.
for example. If "a" is an integer then the next consecutive integer will be " a+1"

Characteristics of Integers :
1. Sum OR difference of integers is also an integer.
2.Product of integer is also an integer.
3. Division of an integer by another integer not necessarily yields an integer.

Integers continued . . . . . .

VetDoctor sahab, thank you for this initiative. I have seen a lot of aspirants losing heart over Mathematics. Although I understand the difficulty it has posed for some aspirants, I refuse to believe that this level of math is an insurmountable task for anyone involved. Therefore, I would highly encourage everyone to start preparing for the math section properly. At the end, one who has prepared the most will go through this test.

Broadly speaking, there are two types of Integers.
1. Odd Integers
2.Even Integers

1. Odd Integers : Any number that cannot be divided by 2 is called an odd integer. For example : -3, -1, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9,11 and so on.
Properties of odd integers :
i. The difference between two consecutive odd integers is 2.
ii. If a is an odd integer, then the next consecutive odd integer will be a + 2.
iii. The sum of two odd integer is an even number.
iv. Product of two odd integers is an odd integer.
v. Division of an odd integer by another odd integer may not be an integer.

2. Even Integers : Any number that can be divided by 2 OR those integers that are multiple of 2 are even integers. For example. -4,-2, 0, 2, 4, 6 and so on.
Properties :
i. Difference between two even numbers is 2.
ii. If x is an even integer, then the next consecutive even integer will be x + 2.
iii. the sum of two even integers is an even integer.
iv. Product of two even integers is also an even integer.
v. Division of an even integer by another even integer may not be an integer.

Next topic will be Prime Numbers.
