STUDY PLAN
ENGLISH GENERAL

Section 01:

Essay – 300 words (20 marks)

 It will be covered from Essay paper.

Section 02:

Précis – 1/3 of given Paragraph with suitable Title (20 marks)

 Practice Makes a Man Perfect.
Précis Writing by AB Jasra and NK Joyo (Caravan) is good book for practice.

Section 03:

Application & Letter Writing (20 marks)

 Understanding of Application & Letter format is crucial.
 Sample Applications & letters (Chapter 22 of Exploring the World of English by ILMI).

Section 04:

Pair of Words & Sentences (10 marks)

Idioms & Sentences: (10 marks)

Words, Meanings & Sentences: (5 to 10 marks)

Spellings Correction (5 marks)

Do as Directed or Correct the Sentences (10 marks)

 Parts of Speech (Use of Preposition, Adjective, Articles, & Conjunction)
 Tenses
 Active & passive Voice
 Narrations
 Conditional Clauses

Book Recommendations

Précis Writing by AB Jasra and NK Joyo (Caravan)
