Default Entry in the Sindh Police

Dear Friends,

I need some guidence in connection to the above cited topic. My questions are as under. Hope some of you will shed light. Kind regrads,
god of war...........

Q1. Does SPSC hold exams for entry in Sind Police? Do these exams have a schedule? i mean on yearly basis or evry other year?

Q2: What are the posts advertised for the Sindh Police? Is there exam for direct inspector?

Q3: What are lateral entries? and how does one go about it? Is there a procedure?

Q4: What is the age limit for appearing in the SPSC? is it relaxable if one carries a rural domicile?if yes then how many years relaxation is granted?

Q5: Once you apear for the SPSC, can you still appy for the CSS? If yes, then if a person with the Police takes the CSS exam and passes, is it neccessary that he will be given PSP cadre or he may be given some other group like customs or foreign service?

awaiting your replies, thanks again

Default

After promulgation of Police Order 2002, entry in Police department is restricted to three ranks:
1. Constable: to b recruited by concerned District/region
2. ASI: to be recruited through SPSC
3. ASP: to be recruited through CSS conducted by FPSC

Entry at other ranks is only by means of promotion:

No, it depends on availibilty of vacancies in police. in Sindh atleast, its done after three/four years...

No exam for the post of Inspector, as its reserved for promotion of ASIs... SPSC is manadated to conduct exams for recruitment of ASI

Lateral entries mean that a government servant inducted in some other department in contravention of recruitment rules....For example a Lecturer (BS-17) can join police by means of lateral entry and joins as DSP.... As for procedure, u'v to be government servant first, than u must hv right connections (President/PM/CM/Governor/MNA/MPA) Frankly one has to be relative of any of above people.......

Government of Sindh hs given 15-years general age relaxation for people having Sindh's domicile who apply for government jobs in Sindh: U can join Sindh government if u r below 43 years of age... Let me remind u that this general age relation is for one year (2009) only, but Sindh government keeps relaxing it year after year..

Yes any one joining Sindh police can still appear in CSS, though he would require departmental permission... Mr. Mukhtiar Shah (36 CTP-Police Group) was ASI earlier.... However it is not necessary that anyone from sindh Police who clears CSS, would necessary get police Group... It depends on "Order of merit" of Candidate/Preferences/ no of vacancies for particular province/suitability..
