A long wait ended at last.....
well guys i had my interview on 26th ...............
contrary to old beliefs,this panel was friendly and quite encouraging..
Interview had unnatural start...
chairman sahib only reminded me that your name is ghulam fareed...did n,t ask me to intro.
most of questions were from eds...some exceptionally unimportant and petty things were too asked
when they learnt that i m doctor...
their questions revolvled around medicine e.g latest antibiotics cortisone ,steroids,origin of farmacy,generic names etc etc
other questions...botnical name of rose,types of galaxy,height of eifel tower,delta,, where is isphani,s home,(that was ridiculous Q)..
I answered 60 to 70% of thier Qz.
Lets see what time holds for me..........

Thanx for such encouraging remarks and I have same wishes for u.
Neverthless, game was little bit difficult to play but pitch was not so difficult as I had already played on this pitch in 2003 on two occassions fast baller (Ibrar Mirza) shouted for lbw:con but the umpire(S.N.Abassi) said NO BALL :nono
A time came when I hit 3 balls for 6s and ballers were confused that how to get this wicket and again I hit 4s in six balls remaing I got single runs and defended 4 balls.
Have a look who wins the final match as every player is playing well including you.

yes they did discuss indo pak history which was my optional too

actually the same thing happend with my friend:hurt...who was also professional degree holder :con:blink...i dont no y they did so?.........blink...
one of my friend told that professinal degree holders r not encouraged.....:dry: ...do u have any idea y?......???|??but let the result cum we can not predict.....:thinking

It s very strange and we don t know their criterion if u go through the some interviews conducted previously there is 50% EDS and Islamiat where s there is just one question of EDS and Islamiat in my interview and 70-80% discussion and I discussed well. I think they have not settled the criterion just making base the written portion as their first periority because one can make plea on the basis of written portion.

well i think the way they are assesing candidates is not the professional one.I wonder what they wana guage by asking so many unimportant questions.This is what most of the candidates hold view about cuurent panel
and 60 to 70% of candidates are govt employe.

My interview
 

I had my interview few days ago but couldn't manage to post it due to some urgent job related responsibilities.The environment was very relaxed and interviewers are true gentlemen. They seemed to have a list of questions already prepared according to the background and optional subjects of the candidates. My interview was purely based on the analysis of Pakistan and world economy. The asked theoretical as well as practical stuff regarding the economy of Pakistan including a thorough discussion on Monetary Vs Fiscal policies in different eras and their effectiveness in eliminating core economic problems such as Inflation, Poverty and many others. The formulas for calculating GDP and determining its deflator and CPI etc were also among those petty questions asked by Chairman saab.

From Indian History (Optional subject) they discussed the policies of different mughal emperors and their contributions to the society. There were many petty questions regarding dates and names of different emperors’ and their nobles along with serving officers were asked spontaneously during the discussion. Similarly many questions were asked about different personalities and names of the writers of the books as well. Further more from Islamiat they discussed about Abbasi rulers and dates of their regimes.

All and all it was a good discussion and the ratio of my responses to their questions was 65 % -70%. Especially few bouncers of Abrar Mirza were really un playable and I left them without any hesitation.

I am sure you are gonna hit century as per your interview. Plz let me know your optional subject . Have u economics in optional because they asked very typical question regarding the economy? let me also know your interview duration and No: of questions they asked.

Thanks ada but nobody knows who is going to hit the century!! SPSC exams and examiners who mark written scripts have always been so unpredictable that one can’t say any thing about the final allocation. What makes me so pleased is their will to uphold merit and determination to induct meritorious class into the bureaucracy. Exactly Economics is one of my optional subjects along with Indian History and Islamiat. I spent almost 40 minutes with interview panel and they asked not more than 20 questions.

Dr. Khushik and others please let the forum know about the toppers of CSS from Sindh Rural (Irfan Samo etc.) who also passed Combined Competitive 2009. Did they appear in SPSC interview for wasting the vacancy or showed some sanity?

Irfan Samo(R) has had interview on the same day when my interview conducted but he did not appear . Another competent friend samiullah shaikh(U) has not appeared in the interview as he has got DMG through CSS .I tried to know statistic that how many CSS pass candidates did not attend panel ?but could not know the exact figure .If any body has solid news he may share.

well friends i do n,t know the exact no of css qualified candidates appearing in spsc interviews but i do know that on 26 jun i.e my inerview date..
three css qualified were to be interviewd out of them one did not turn up while two were there.Both of them got commerce and trade group, i had chat with them.They just chose one option in allocation form i.e d.e.d.o.
and before that an income tax officer doin his training also appeared in interview..

kindly tell if u have any information,that including u how many candidates are there who have ECONOMICS as an optional,and they have qualified written part of PCS 2008....plz tell if is there any in ur friendship circle?besides this let me know in which subject u have done masters?

I have the degree of MA (Economics) from Sindh University. I don't know any other qualifier who holds the same credentials along with having economics as an optional in CCE

I missed 5 questions. 1 from chairman & 2 from each member.
Total token questions are difficult to guess. but they were around 50-70. while discussion detailed questions were around 20-30.
They were weak at scientific knowledge therefore i faced difficulty in answering many questions. because they were not understanding my terminologies and they were again n again saying that please tell us in layman terms.

MY OPTION: only for DDO.
I will go for CTP at CSA Lahore in December 2010 even I may get DDO in PCS. I will not go for that. I gave interview just for my father wish.
Baqi result kab ana ha, ye jawab imtiaz sb se behter or koi nahi dekh sakta. me is in lahore at jinnah hospital. so i dont know anything about it. yahan tak k mjhe PCS k result ka b ek hafte baad pta chala tha.. )

Dear as per SPSC officilas result is expected till first week of Oct. They should not take more than one month in announcement of final merit list.

Thanks for sharing interview details with forum fellows. Ada don't mind but you’ve destroyed one good seat which many alternatively be allocated to a deserving person willing to opt for the same. Let me take this opportunity to thank Mr. Irfan Samo and all other fresh CSPs who knowingly opted out of Combined Competitive interviews because they presumed to have no intentions of joining Sindh Govt through CCE-2008.

Dont worry about Dharejo sb..he has just availed a chance that was hiz legal right...he has right to b selected whether he join or not.However I had gone through ur interview details as well...u r at safe place to be selected as DDO...if this is ur 1st chice...or otherwise....:vic...whosoever will be deserving vl get it....dont b perplxed...again i would suggest all friends...just practice wait and see...because we cant predict at all...these are just hypothesis......:closedeye

Not to speak of Dharejo but many of the CSS qualifiers have practised this act just opting DDO . We must keep in the mind that interviewers have 250 marks and merit of many candidates in written portion will tie . As per my experience there will not be so difference of marks in written portion and the fate will be decided by the Interviewers. No doubt interviewers are so experienced and sensible they will settle this issue smoothly without marring the positions of deserving candidates if merit exists .

Whether Mr. dharejo is selected as DDO or not, only the time will tell. Because v can't judge about him only from interview, other things matter too. don't give ur opinions so frankly, wait and let the interviewers decide.

2. Economic condition of Pakistan (nuclear technology is expensive), Terrorism (nuclear terrorism threat) therefore US & China are reluctant to share civil nuclear deal., lack of nuclear experts (e.g. AQ Khan tragedy discouraged them).



3. Kalabagh dam is at junction of Punjab & KP. Machinery is on punjab side while lake on KP side. so royalty will be of punjab only. as a reality this is only a political stunt. PPP in sindh has done politics on the name of Kalabagh dam issue in the musharraf regime. therefore they r stuck to that. The biggest misfortune for pakistan is that we have only provincial leaders we dont have any national leader who talk about the national integration bcoz national integration is the only remedy for kalabagh dam issue.
