PCS 2008 Interviews have been started from Karachi Center . Friends are requested to post there interviews for analysis by the seniors.

Why people are reluctant to share interviews of cce-2008
 

Interviews are going on in karachi, then why are people reluctant to share own or their friend's interviews? What has make u people scarry? :-)

MY INTERVIEW (Roll No. 367)
 

My interview was conducted on 16-06-2010 (Wednesday). Reporting time was 9: AM. I brought all my original documents which were verified by the SPSC staff. First candidate’s interview was started at 10 AM. The order of interview was according to roll number sequence of the 10 candidates called for the interview. I was the 7th in number and my interview was started at around 12:25 PM and continued for half-hour at around 1 PM.
When I entered the room, I was fascinated by the gesture of SPSC chairman as the stood up and shook hand with me and asked me to have a seat. Already, the chairman had offered me tea with biscuits (coz after 6th candidates chairman took tea break) as I was waiting alone outside chairman’s room for my turn. Chairman’s behavior was humble and courteous. The following questions were asked by the interview panel of three including the chairman:

Chairman: (Read out my name and domicile information). Give me your introduction

Chairman: Women have gained lots of emancipation in Pakistan. Do you agree with it?

Chairman: Which is the largest river in the world?

(Then he asked the panel member sitting left to him to initiate his questions)

Member1: Which country has the largest number of nuclear reactor?

Member1: Pakistan is one of the few countries having nuclear weapons. Why Pakistan has not increased its nuclear power plant for electricity generation in order to resolve electricity shortage?

Member1: You have studied chemistry could you tell me the fertilizer that can be produced from gases

Member1: Name “Orders” in Phylum Chordata

Member1: Both Kalabagh Dam & Bhasha Dam are on river Indus; tell me why Sindh is opposing Kalabagh Dam and not the Bhasha Dam?

(Finally, he asked the panel member sitting right to the Chairman for the interview)

Member2: What is “Generation Gap”?

Member2: I tell you the name and you must give me brief intro about each:
1. Ho Chi Min
2. Fidel Castro
3. Dilai Lama
4. Mao Zedong

Member2: Name the companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) other than four Caliphs

Member2: How many wives did the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have? What were their names?

This was the last question. During the questioning process, interviewers started discussion with me on few topics from the questions.

ypz you are quite right..Candidates of kh have turned aphonic since the start of interviws.....

I am astonished why they are so cool comparing to 2003 whereby were so aggressive ??

I have couple of questions to u:

1. did they ask for ur CSS-PCS career?

2.Did u realize that our written marks and written merit order is with them?

3. Can we conclude that interview comprises 50% token questions and 50% discussion??

I guess they had my written marks coz when the second member asked me a question from Zoology, which was my optional, he smiled and said before asking question "if i can remember"; his gesture recalled me my worst expectation of failing in zoology as i went for CCE-2008 without any preparation. All papers went quite well except zoology. I think he was aware of my lowest score in zoology.

Hey karachites come out of hibernation and share your interview experiencez....and let the candidates of rural areas fortify their weak domains

there are someting to tell all members here who are anxiuos to know interview questions.
1. Why u all have fears in ur mind about interview. Among these passing candidates, best candidates will be selected after interview process. Then u should focus on ur preparation.
2. When i finished my interview I found 4-5 candidates were waiting outside office which suddenly jumed from a wall and asked me questions which were asked to me inside chairman office.
3. They started writing down the questions.
4. I told them each and everything
5. But i ask u why u people are so scared. They told me that they are coming since the first day and are wiring down all questions.

No tell me is this the way. This is unbecoming of an would-be-officer to sit and wait for questions. Isnt is act of plagiarism. It is strictly prohibited in general instructions of SPSC rules not to disclose anything about interview questions.

Just think about it and justify urself. I have belief in myself and trust in Allah. If anybody comes with arguments to disclose questions then i would tell you all the questions asked to me.

Engr Saab nobody is anxious atleast in this forum to know the happenings of your interview. People are sane enough to understand this basic fact that their interviews will definitely be different from that of yours. I'd have love to see this post of yours in CSS interview thread when the cream of the country was posting tinny bits of their interviews even the type and colour of their dress. Won't you call them officers? Learn to make people happy.

this is competitive examination. Every qualifier should prepare himself for interview. i think nobody should share interview here. albeit after completion of the process, interviews can be shared. at this time we are competitors to one another. Sharing interview with others means weakening our own position in the merit list.

How about those who you find roaming around the venue of interview? They are enough to weaken our position as they have the huge data bank of questions being asked in interviews. Plz share your interview experience and help each other through this forum.

e.g you joined this forum to learn things nd to keep abreast of latest hapenings in this field.With it you know whats in and wht,s obselete.
similarly is case wid pcs interviews.
We do not desire the same questionz in our interviews but we want to read out their minds and to channelise our efforts in paricular direction...

My intension was not to hurt any of members but my question was that the candidates roaming outside interview is a act of violation of SPSC rules as well as CSS rules if it happnes in CSS interviews. And to tell the truth, question are repeated in the interviews.

And almost most of the candidates are asked based on the following criteria :
a. Test/evaluate the personal qualities of the candidates.
b. Evaluate the candidate’s alertness, intelligence, and his/her communications skills.
c. Measure his/her interest in knowledge of Pakistan, Islam, current affairs and general awareness.
d. Test the candidate’s aptitude in his/her area of specialization.
e. Consider his/her general outlook, bearing and physique.

Questions were asked irrespective of optional subjects. I was also not asked any question realted to my degree (Software Engineering).

Mostly questions were asked from current affairs and Islam.

nooooo man i am not made up of delicate fibers that i may get hurt with it.
Everyone has its own way to pigeon-hole the things if someone thinks that letting others know of one,s xperience is against the ethics of these exams..........they might be right.But

To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.

Its good to help others. and if you think that telling others the things, which are prohibited , is a gesture of help then its okay. I have presented my viewpoint regarding interview questions. I am done with my responsibility to tell the others the right things. However, I would be now happy to let all others know the questions asked to me. Wish you best of luck..!!!

I have gone through various interviews including Mukhtiarkar 2002 and qualified PCS 2003 but as per my experience no body can snatch the due right of another . Neverthless, written marks of each candidate would be different . Interview does nt mean that how many questions you answered?And they have some thing tricky in their mind they will ask some 5-6 questions which would be quiet different than those of previous if candidate answers than they will ponder that he has gone through the study. What do u think they don t know that many candidates are awaiting out side of Center to note their questions?? Remember they are quite experienced people they can distinguish and differentiate the hard workers and lazy (who just cram same questions which are asked from previous candidates) . Now Why we are asking here interview questions?? just to sum up the interview pattern . Make sure they are experienced and intelligent and make result in 5 mintues but asking questions is formality. I have still remebered that when I answered my first question in PCS-2003 I was astonished that they at once said how many times you attempted for CSS-PCS even though my previous history was concealed and no proof was with them but how did they know?? because there first question and candidate's style ,attitude and outer personality reveals every thing that how much he is hard worker and experienced.

yp exactly i agree with imtiaz,s views....
Comission would not select those numskulls sitting outside their offices.
They could easily gauge candidate,s profundity and hardwork within few questions....
AND At this forum no one was forced to share thier interviews and neither would be.
I suggest these candidates not to feel that much insecurity.

Salam Guyz! I had my interview today. I was the first one in the morning. I entered the room at around 10 and interview went on for 25 - 30 mins

The chairman started the interview and asked some general question about how should an officer behave. then he was satisfied and refered me to 2nd member

The second member asked from tough questions and i think he had some fixed answer is in his mind that he wanted to hear. He didnt do much discussion though

Then came the turn of 3rd member. he asked me some really tough question and asked me to name the author of some book. He asked me to name the relations Hazrat Mosa and Harzat Shoaib.

Over alll it was easy initially but started getting tougher and tougher.

I have High hopes and fingers crossed . I am thankful to Almight! please pray for me

hi guys!
i had my interview today
i was 5th candidate
first i was asked to introduce myself which i did
then the chairman asked me only one question abt PA which i answred thouroughly.

then the next member ( i think abrar mirza )asked me abt 7-8 token questions from EDS n historical sites in pak of which i could answer only 1.
he further asked me a discussion question that was abt PAK-India-USA-USSR-Isreal affairs( yeah it was all sumed up in one question )
i answered in depth.

then the last member asked me further token questions ( like authors of some books that he mentioned besides some other things ) again i could answer only 2 out of 8-9 questions
at last he gave me a situation for discussion on extremism in pakistan .in response to that i did well n i watched the chairman twice givining the expressions of approval of my arguements.

as a whole i was bad at token question but good at analytical discussions.
what i regret is that there were atleast 2 token questions that were relatively easy but i missed them too.

however i m hopefull of my success bcoz interviwe is basically to chek the candidates confidance , appearanc , behaviour etc.
in all these areas i was quite good!

n let me remind u in CEE 2003 i got 161 out of 250 in viva n that time too my viva was not that good in the begining bt i managed to hold ground by the time my viva ended.

Well.. I was the first one to go and i think Chairman is really easy to get into confidence. However the 2nd member who you saiz was Abrar Mirza was really difficult to convince. He has certain fix answers in his mind that he wanted to hear from the candidate.

About 3rd Member i.e. Anwaar Haider Sb. He asked me around 20-25 token Questions out of which i answered about half. At the end he asked me something from Indo Pak history.

I have my fingers crossed. However, they are going to take too long to declare the result. It would be really difficult to wait till Ramzan end. However I'd be anxiously waiting for the result:angle. can someone tell me how many DDO seats are there for Urban? seems to have sliped off my mind.:blush:

Yep You are right i answered almost 50% of them. Most of them were real tough ones

i mentioned in my intro that i had qualified the CEE 2003 but couldnt get a seat as my marks in the written were not that good..

the result will be announced in october as per my info.

they asked bout diseasz, causative agents, preventionz,its ringing bell for we doctors......

i have been called by spsc officer, who informed me that due to non availability of chairman interview from 12th of july to 15 july are postponed to 19th of august to 30TH of august. Written letter will b sent to u as soon as possible. Dear my interview is in the end of july and unlike many other forum fellows I wont hesitate posting my interview proceeding. Because I firmly believe in the fact that nokri rozi hai aur woh Allah ke hukm se he miltee hai. Sharing interview details will not at all decrease chances of getting a job if its there for you bestowed by Allah.

wel i was to be interviewed at 12 july. true interview r post phoned of said date.
but they r not going to be held in last i.e august. in fact interviews of 40 students have been post phoned. and they r being adjusted with in interview schedule.
now instead of 10 candidates 11 candidates would be interviewed. 11th candidate would be from those whose interviews have been post phoned. as per same rule i have been given new date of 21st july. :clap

i guess before eid-ul -uzhaa.

I think they will declare the final result after eid ul fitr otherwise they wouldn’t have changed the interview schedule they announced earlier. They were absolutely in the mood of taking whole month of Ramzan off but later definitely have realized that already an enormous amount of precious time has been wasted and the process should not be delayed any more. Further more, in recent past the way 11 candidates are going to be adjusted in one day is an ample testimony of the intentions to declare result in due course of time.

PCS interviews of date 12 july to 15 july hve been postponed due to the critical condition of chairman sahib.Those candidates whose interview falls on these date have been re-adjusted and merged in other dates.
My interview was on 12 july and they have re-adjusted me on 27 july.Now total candidates interviewed daily will be 11.

My Interview
 

My interview held as on 27.7.2010 they asked round about 30 questions I answered and discussed about 50%. Interview duration remained about 30-35 mints. Over all atmosphere was pleasant and was feeling that they were taking interest during my discussion on different topics but was not fully confident some times was loosing but again composing my self I targeted aim. I could not answer particulary about English personalities even could not recall the names of those personalities right now. I was surprised that :
1.They did not ask me introduce your self even though about PCS-2003. :thinking
2. Not a single question from PS I-ISLAMIAT -SINDHI –just one question from EDS that how many kinds of clouds?? :thinking Which I could not answer? Which I expected and got cram just one question from my personal data that how u got two degrees at one time? Than I replied MA Economics is in arts. After my sitting chairman abruptly asked what are the points of track two-diplomat policy with USA and China? I told but in brief than chairman and asked about kadianies Chairman just asked two questions follwing topics were in discussion and discussed well:
1.Kashmiri Movement
2.Family planning
3.Tribalism
4.Genocide
5. Exodous of palestinanians
6.Joint family system
7.Coexistence
