Slaughter of merit by chairman SPSC

Slaughter of merit by chairman SPSC

The Frontier Post Newspaper

05-04-2013

Since the democratic form of the government came into power, Sindh Public Service Commission had been appointing close aids of senior civil servants and politicians.
As, democratic government has completed its constitutional period, the SPSC has not stopped its legacy based selection system. Recently, a son of chairman named Izhar Ali Shah declared pass under roll no.04288, domicile Sindh Rural, for the post of Assistant Chief Inspector Stamps.
This malpractice story does not end here. Lack of accountability always motivates chairman of the SPSC to misuse his authority. He has successfully managed to declare pass his another son Syed Shiraz Ali Shah for the post of District Secretary Transport Regional Authority under roll no.7386, domicile Sindh Urban, and a son of Additional controller Zainul Abidin Chandio under roll no.8170. Out of 3000 candidates of Sindh, these only two competent belongs to family of spsc management, Pooh!
When absolute power is in control then why to stay silent? Recently, a post of deputy controller examination has been vacated in the SPSC for which 7 candidates nominated.
Among them, the most suitable one has been considered Jumo Khan (Additional Controller examination) whose son along with chairman’s son declared passed for Secretary District Transport Authority.
I salute to the silence of people who do nothing against this height of bad-governance, mismanagement and slaughter of merit. Is there anyone alive to echo voice against this malpractice and inquire chairman of these appointments?

Why should we use the these words "IS ANYONE ALIVE TO TAKE ACTION"....? what is doing right now the caretaker prime minister? Country's judiciary? This is the worst situation to play with the future of the youth in this very crucial way, and a true reason behind the increase of suicide rate in Pakistan ( From available evidence it appears that most suicides victims in Pakistan are young people (single men and married women) under the age of 30, due to unemployment or low grades in exams. According to some experts Pakistan neither collects national suicide statistics nor reports them to WHO. ...By Pirh Bukhari @ Roshni.com). It should be taken as Suo moto Case by the Supreme court of Pakistan, as it has crossed all the limits. If this is the edifice of our country specially Sindh province then we should stop applying for jobs, paying heavy demand drafts, photocopies of testimonials. In every organization, whether industries, Banks, educational sector, it is not latent to meet with incompetent, unable workers. Offcourse, this is embarrassing that no one was able to get these 18th grade positions except chairman's sons and his friends.

They are dead. The have sunk into the ocean of nothingness. Materialism has made them blind. I agree with you to some extent that there is injustice with Sindh youth. But they themselves are also responsible for this. I wish Chief Justice takes notice of all this and bring the culprits to justice.
