I know from our city, more than 200 candidates will appear all are compitent. Everybody works very hard. Compitation will be too much tough depending upon ur studies. But I am almost sure, from our city fifty candidates are going to go through the whole precess. Beside this around 15 candidates from our library who are regular are going to hunt their seats in top high merit. Because, three of them are already preparing for CSS interviews and now they are also preparing for screening. So work hard and give your best.

Yeah scoring 50% or more will make you eligible for written portion. I have no idea about English portion, one can only guess about that, might be 30% out of 100%.
By the way Ninety marks will be a self satisfaction and will relax me
Obviously yes, scoring higher means you are well prepared for GK section of the exam in advance. Remember one thing, GK is core requirement having 150 marks.
