Going against an essay topic?
I disagree with Adil on this. I think "Feminism is not really a third world issue" means that the third world is failing even in the provision of basic human rights to women, let alone giving them equality via feministic ideals. The issues of women in third world countries are totally different from those championed by modern day feminism.
Let me give an explicit example. While the western feminists are fighting for the rights to "free the nipple", women in third world are struggling to get even basic amenities of life eg toilet, antenatal care etc.
