The summary of my outline for this essay is as follows:
Introduction
History of democracy in Pakistan
*Post-independence situation
*Present situation
Future of Democracy in Pakistan
Challenges faced by Democracy in Pakistan
Suggestion to improve democracy in Pakistan
Conclusion
And at 11:55 I had merely finished the portion of challenges. Left the suggestions portion and wrote conclusion in 3-4 lines after which the paper was snatched by invigilators. I was much worried afterwards but surprisingly I got 62 marks in it.
Now moral of the story is that you have to keep your essay in perfect alignment with the topic given. No need to define democracy or its advantage/disadvantages etc like the most candidates do.
