I've heard the IRS is in the making, and ,perhaps, in the begining of August a notification will be issued as has been described by our colleague Adnan Shahid. But what will be the organogram of the IRS is yet not clear. Also it's in the air that the condition for MBA has been abolished.Lets wait and see.

Apart from this i would request my colleagues to shed some light on the perks (salary, authority, jurisdiction, promotion prospects etc) enjoyed by assistant commissioners of Icome Tax.

Also if some has got knowledge of organizatinal structure of Income Tax do share with us.
