once you finish all syllabus you will be in a better position to answer these questions.
recent trends includes current perspectives and application of psychology in various field e.g organizational psychology,sports psychology etc
it will take much time for you to cover the syllabus if you go after past papers.
on average this kind of approach takes more than one and a half month to cover psychology.
to save time you have to be selective but study all syllabus.focus more on selected ones.
there is no shortcut to success.
