In fact one should not leave Army and join CSP post. Level of respect in Army is matchless and CSPs are far behind. Facilities of army officers are equal which ever post one may get; accommodation, servants, health est. But with Khuda postings, CSPs even quarrel for Peons. Read the book by Ex IGP Punjab Sardar Muhammad Chaudry. It reflects the fact that police officers of rank of DIGs could be pressurized/ humiliated by Brigadiers and even Colonels, especially when interaction on security issues comes between them! Also at the end armed forces officers get house/ plot at DHA or SD Houses, and it is not possible for DIGs to get accommodation on retirement thru fair means. Therefore Army Major is superior to CSS 1st position holder in PSP/ DMG group.
