I would like to second your thoughts .I think its not the opportunities to blunder the wealth which shatters our dreams (by the way i think if one wants to do this he can do it in every group)
but i think its the others things which are associated with the css officers.
yes brainy you are right , we think that we will be given many facilities like car, driver, house, servants ,etc but the fact is that in majority of the groups (especially for the officers working in big cities) one does't get any of these facilities at least upto grade 19.so their dreams are shatterd.
Moreover the salary is also very low.
I do agree with the people that we are hare to do public service but we must atleast be getting enough money to make our ends meet.We do not demand lucrative pay pakages but it should to sufficent to give an officer a decent living.

well, this is my opinion others can differ.
