This is a bad worded question. To clear the concept, animals do not acquire Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, though it is present in inhaled air. During the process of breathing, the air we inhale contains 0.04% carbon dioxide (on an average) but the concentration of carbon dioxide in our blood (which is brought to lungs for purification) is more than that of 0.04%. due to this difference in concentration, the carbon dioxide moves from blood cell to lungs surface (process of osmosis). this excessive carbon dioxide is then exhaled out when we breath out. so as a human beings we contribute by releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

it is clear that the answer to this question is glucose.
