Precise Rules For Precis

1. Read the given passage, as much as times u like, and try to get the main idea of it.
2. Along with main idea also search out the supporting ideas.
3. Jot down main points on rough page.
4. Example or any explanatory statement cant be mentioned in precis.
5. Example is only use in precis,Obviously in condense form, when it is giving any new idea.
6. After extracting the main idea from the given passage,connect these points in logical manner
.... Dont use the wording of original passage except names.
.... Use easy language to express yourself in the condense passage.
.... Dont add or subtract any crucial point or idea. Dont give any suggestion.
.... Avoid the use of I, WE, US, MY MINE, YOUR, YOU ETC.
9. Now compare Your condense passage with that of original one (are both passages equating each other, if yes, than your precis is okay).

HOW TO GIVE TITLE?
1. The clue for title may be present in first or last sentence of Original passage, otherwise try to find it in the middle of the passage. But most of the time first and last sentence help in this regard.
2. The title should be objective and short.
