TO ERR IS HUMAN ,TO FORGIVE IS DIVINE
Human nature is very much inclined towards making mistakes.He does so knowingly or in ignorance .forgiveness is the chahacteristic of God alone.if a human forgive another’s mistakes and errors,he rises above humanity and attain the quality of God.
Human is home to errors.but inspite of that he does not show openheartedness to forgive another human’s mistakes.As the followers of islam we have the glorious example of holy prophet of islam before us.he was so merciful that he even forgave his bitterest enemies.on the occasion of his trip to Taif for preaching islam he was so mistreated by the people there.they even hurled stones at him.but instead of cursing them,he prayed to Allah for their guidance.his forgiving nature won the hearts of his friends and foes alike.because of his merciful nature he is “rehmat-lil-aalemin”.forgiveness helps to reform society.bitter feelings against one another
Helps no one but create fraction and division.forgiveness infuses love and
sympathy(characteristics of God)in the hearts of humans for one another.this is what makes nations united and strong.
The world at present needs the harmony and unity all the more. When revenge and retaliation do not bore any good results it is better to adopt divine path of forgiveness.if one want to create peace and love in society and desire to be possessor of Godly qualities,he must learn to forgive one another’s little mistakes.
