Dear at that time Russia was like a super power which can challenge American motives anywhere in the world. CIA think tanks were planning to contain Russia as a prime motive alongwith other minor motives at that time. America used Muslim world to shatter Russian power without caring about its consequences.
In this way u will say that America attacked Iraq to capture weapons of mass destruction, liberate Iraqi people from cruelities of Sadam Hussain.
In late eighties, America was winner in proxy war as it became successful in defeating Russia through Muslim countries. It left Afghanistan after fulfilling its objective.
America want to make a such govt in Afghanistan which would work under its directions. Now why America is planning to leave Aghanistan without defeating Terrorsts? Now American will try to have their influence indirectly through puppet govt.
President Obama has announced a deadline for the withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan only because this war is proving costly.
