Thoug m' late to relply to you, but not too, so here goes my part of answer.

For Economics paper I Modern Economic Theory by K.K Dewwet and Economics by Samuelson are best books. And for Paper II Economics of Pakistan by M.Saeed Nasir & Syed Kamal Hyder is quite good. Further keep an argus eye on national and international Economic issues, via T.V ands newspapers. If you've read of The Economist, that's quite good for the paper.

Along with all these i'll recommend you to have a look at past papers of Economics and do discuss them aboard, coz there may me more than one dimensions of one question.
