I see some logically confused guys and girls giving their own opinion and declaring it to be islamic law ... Those of us who have read islamic law should have made the things easy ... Anyway as for as coeducation is concerned , islam doesn't forbid it directly or indirectly ... All the great scholars of islam taught both the genders and we have the example of Hazrat Ayesha teaching the ashab e rasul ...

as there is no direct islamic law prohibiting the co education , so by no mean you can call it un islamic unless you come up with a direct islamic law ....

Yep people of pakistan have always had some reservations on co education and it was primarily on moral grounds.
There have always been a fear that co education will cause moral deterioration.
But in my humble opinion lack of co education has seeded more social , psychological and moral issues than it has solved ... People of pakistan are more frustrated and prone to social evils than those of developed countries where co education is a norm...

Moreover the purpose of educational system ( co or separate) is to provides quality education to the whole community or county . This purpose can be better served with co education because with limited funds you can't run two good schools in a small village , but if there is one school , it becomes rather easy to improve it's standards...
