I opted for chemistry in 2005. I got 96/200. It was a very stupid decision on my part to opt for chemistry since I had never studied chemistry at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level before preparing for CSS exam, since I am a computer engineer by qualification.

The low score inflicted a lot of damage on my merit position, and I slipped from may be top 50 to 121st position. However, for those with chemistry in B.Sc. or those having M.Sc. chemistry, it should not be difficult.
