Quite a few similarities with Pakistan

1 )Military dictatorship of tetu and that of pak army.

2 )The monopoly of Serbian elite in state institutions and of Punjabi elite.

3 )Multiple ethnicities crying for autonomy.

4 )The failure of communism in keeping the ethnicities together as of Islamic
ideology struggling in Pakistan.

5 )Disappointment of Serbs claiming that they have sacrificed much for the state and still they are blamed , compare with punjabis.

Your views about any more similarities or differences?
Do you agree?
How can we stop Pakistan from following the same tragic route , as we have already lost DHAKA.

Yaar kyun Yugoslavia ki be-izati kar rahay ho?

Yugoslavia had:

- enough electricity for its inhabitants
- a decent standard of living for its peoples
- free healthcare
- free quality education
- equality
- very low crime rates before the wars of the 90s
- good order and stability

How many of these things do we have?

@ali36, you failed to grasp the idea of the OP. Both Pakistan and Yugoslavia are multi-ethnic federations brought together by common ideologies.

In fact, there are even more similarities than the ones that the OP pointed out. General Tito, Yugoslavia's "father", belonged to the minority Croat group and Mohammad Ali Jinnah, too, belonged to the minority Gujarati community. Moreover, Tito led a Socialist state yet he disassociated himself from mainstream international communism and the Soviet Union and Jinnah was a Muslim but he did not believe in a theocratic state ('contradictions' in both cases).

In my opinion, the only way Pakistan can avoid Yugoslavia's fate is by becoming a true federation in which:

- the federation must only control defense, communication, foreign policy and currency.
- the provinces must have 100% control over their natural resources and revenue.
- the generals must be confined to their barracks. If the Turks can put leashes on their generals, why can't we?
- the provinces must have the right to use their lingua franca as their official language and as the language of instruction in their schools.

However, if these issues are not sorted out and are, instead, suppressed the resentment from Pakistan's minorities will only increase with time.
