"Each man is architect of his own destiny"

People are often found blaming their bad luck and destiny for the sufferings they go through in life. I strongly feel that each man is architect of his own destiny. M. Ali Clay, the legendary boxer, once said, "A fight is won far from the ring, lot before the match, out there on the roads and in the gym". Your victory and your failure, both are outcome of the fact that how much were you prepared for it. Destiny is a word mostly people associate with either their failure or their success, as a matter of fact mostly to their failure. From all the destinies, the destiny of of Oedipus Rex is the one that is globally discussed. He was long ago predicted to e killer, a cursed king who would kill his father and marry with his own mother, and he done so. People argue, he was destined to do it, it was his destiny to do so, gods were responsible for the crime he committed. But here rises the question, when he had already known the prediction about his future, he should had avoided the fight with the man of his father's age and should definitely had avoided marriage with a woman of his mother's age, but he did not. Therefore, he did architect the destiny of his in a tragic way. He chose to be a tragic hero and preferred his hamartia over good judgement. God helps those who help themselves if you want a successful destiny, prepare a plan to architect it in that way. Otherwise we all have Hamartias for our tragic falls and tragic destinies.
