A wise approach to live a peaceful life is to maintain an appropriate balance between the expenditures and resources. It is well said that the middle course is the best course. Living beyond one's own resources causes him to repent throughout his life. This proverb provides an ideal modus operandi applicable to each and every discipline of life. Managing the resources in social, economical, political and all other fields of life is the prerequisite of a prosperous life.

For instance, in one's social life, he must be careful while making any statement. He should not claim for anything that is not possible for him to do. Similarly, one must keep his resources in mind while spending his money on any project. In our society, people often want to follow the trends introduced by the wealthy people. To meet the requirements, they adopt even the illegal means of earning. They commit crimes like bribery, fraud, theft and even murder. Consequently, they do not only cause unrest and discomfort of the society but also lose their dignity, honour and respect for the whole life.

The great men always led a contented life. They advised their followers, too, to live a moderate life. Our Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) said that the best thing is the middle thing. His saying actually described how to practice the proverb under discussion. A prudent person is always a thrifty one.

To cut one's coat according to one's own cloth is, thus, mandatory not only in individual's life but also essential for the society. It is the only resort to minimize the agitation and havoc from the society as well as increasing the dignity, integrity and nobility of all people of the aforementioned group.
