As poverty is a major problem, which results by a series of inter linked issues in a society, so it is really hard to pin point a problem which is making situation of Pakistan worst. But, what I studied is that a democratic system depends upon proper election, neutral judiciary, capable executive and free media.
People are giving different justification, what I will like to propose here is that the biggest problem for poverty is illiteracy. If we cross check the 4 major pillars of democracy then it is obvious that free elections are not possible if common people are not capable to cast vote of their own choice by evaluating the choices present. And in Pakistan this is only possible if common people are empowered and free from feudal. This is only achieved by education. If this process will be followed then educated people will come in the assemblies. Who will work in an educated manner for the betterment of people. Much competent ministers, bureaucrats, lawyers and anchors will come. Justice will be given importance and the system of a country will work properly. Per capita income will increase, living standard of common man will be better and hence pure democracy will show its result.
