As poverty is a major problem, which results by a series of inter linked issues in a society, so it is really hard to pin point a problem which is making situation of Pakistan worst. But, what I studied is that a democratic system depends upon proper election, neutral judiciary, capable executive and free media.
People are giving different justification, what I will like to propose here is that the biggest problem for poverty is illiteracy. If we cross check the 4 major pillars of democracy then it is obvious that free elections are not possible if common people are not capable to cast vote of their own choice by evaluating the choices present. And in Pakistan this is only possible if common people are empowered and free from feudal. This is only achieved by education. If this process will be followed then educated people will come in the assemblies. Who will work in an educated manner for the betterment of people. Much competent ministers, bureaucrats, lawyers and anchors will come. Justice will be given importance and the system of a country will work properly. Per capita income will increase, living standard of common man will be better and hence pure democracy will show its result.

Globalization can actively contribute to poverty alleviation .International Labor flows. FDI (foreign direct investment) due to a distorted image of Muslims Pakistanis are considered as terrorist globally and law and order made it hurdle for foreign and domestic investors.

increase in population can never be regarded as cause of poverty or related problem. We lament on the dearth of resources but would anyone tell me that have we exploited all our resources.? certainly not. Then i put a simple question. What to blame? our lack of exploitation of untapped resources that Allah has bestowed on us or increase in population? It is a fact that even the world has not utilized mere 1% of hidden resources.

Population even in these days is regarded as a resource in the form of human capital. It is just a lack of planning and sincere leadership that is the root cause of all the evils that we ( the Population) are suffering.

i beleive these factors are correlated , and playing havoc to our nation in one way or other and apart from that, are giving rise to other painfull factors such as terrorism, political instability and destruction of infrastructure etc... but reason behind all this is our attitude as nation and as individuals...'' jaisi qoum hoti hai ham us par waisa hi hukmran bhaijtay hain''(mafhoom)

Lawlessness is due to poverty, not cause of poverty .
