Here is emphasis on "go" and in "not only " sentences , and as per Sadaat's Exploring......we are bound to use helping verb before subject to put more emphasis on main verb.
According to my knowledge , it should be :
Not only will he go, but he will remain there.
Why you converted
will to
shall..? there is no need of it.
