Dear first post of this thread contains answer to your question regarding promotion (27th CTP of Customs have been promoted to BPS 19 while 35th CTP promoted to BPS 18 on regular basis ,that is the same compared with other groups) . As far as your second is concerned i,ll simply say Customs is still a royal service , no match n comparison....
