In freedom lies the happiness of the individual

Freedom is a state worshipped by every living soul. The wealth of this entire world is not worth a penny of the charm and happiness of freedom. Whether humans or animals, they would bear the scorching heat of sun; days of thirst and hunger; tiresome labor of days; but for them, happiness lies on freedom of self. A bird living in a cage would always be desperate and crave for the gushing winds of outside world. Likewise, an individual confined in a cell – despite all luxuries of life – would become nostalgic for the free-living days, although worrisome they may be. The freedom of an individual rests upon the sovereignty of tribe, community, or nation of his or her affiliation. In 1947, for such a happiness of freedom, Muslims in united India spilled their blood like rivers; sacrificed their relatives; threw their possessions; left their homes; suffered severe hardships; all for the ultimate joy that they would be free in their conscience and will; however, severe the sufferings might be. When the clusters of beleaguered people reached Pakistan, each drop of their tears was in gratitude of the Almighty that the land of pure would be a guarantee for their liberty and independence. Today, every Pakistani is free to live as well as work according to his/her belief. Whatever the adversities, people of Pakistan are happy for the freedom that their predecessors have got after prolong hardships. Truly, in freedom lies the happiness of individuals. (244 words)
