Introduction: Man is said to be social animal. Live together, share ideas, views and information is intrinsic to human nature. Man has successfully entered in this dazzling era of science and technology, which has made the communication from highest of the mountain to the depth of sea very feasible. Now in this age of science and technology man can virtually connect to any other man on the globe more or less. New tools in internet and web page technology has enabled us to share our ideas with or without showing our identities. This in turn has incarnated as a new type of media after print media and electronic media, the social media. Its accessible, credible and duplex. This takes it above all other types of media. Like all things social media too comes with pros and cons. Positive use in limits for betterment is the most desirable one for society.
