He is not chaining the media this time around. He is actually siding with one section of media against all others and esp. against the army. This has always been the most cherished goal of Nawaz administration to tame the unbridled army.

He is the elected leader of the house, who can be more than right than him in the current political environs? Yet, he is incompetent enough to get himself involved in a controversy again with the army. He is trying to cut short the army's power through a sham media trial. His very endeavors cost him his First and Second govts (in 1993 & in 1999), though he was popularly elected to the House, just like this time. Despite his popular election for the 3rd time, his unique style of Democratic-cum-authoritarian style of government compelled him to come in conflict with the most power wielder in the country.
