Recently I went an acadmi where Arabic were offering as an optional subject. they told me that it had not matter whether I know the ABC of the Arabic or not they would prepare me for Arabic. Gone are the days when Arabic was an easily prepared subject. Do not pay any heed to such suggestions. Analyse the subject syllabus and past papers yourself. Just see the Arabic Paper 2014. It was very difficult and scoring questions were out of syllabus. I suggest you go for Arabic if you have VERY STRONG understanding and knowledge of Arabic language and grammar. Otherwise, it is time wastage.
