You have digressed after few good lines.. The beginning is OK but since this is the real essence of the essay, you must drop few points beneath your idea of 'the poor and the rich'.

Like Poor and Rich individuals
Poor and rich societies
Poor and rich nations

Then try to explain how law gives these 'rich' entities liberties and how it represses the 'poor' ... Better stay focused on your definition of the rich and the poor.

Then, you can argue as to why it happens OR even better, discuss some contemporary issues. Here you can give your favourite example of USA,,,But you must put some more example.. USA is not the only rich entity.. and then also mention the laws that give USA such leisure.

Then you can discuss why it happens, and how it can be extirpated..

How the unprivileged class is exploited in our society ?? Here you added some good lines..you can add more...

Plus the effect part is also relevant..
